Holidaying with Babies and Toddlers at Hendra

Holidaying with young children can be a daunting experience, especially for the first time. All the extra things that you have to pack, along with negotiating snack and nap times can be overwhelming but a staycation holiday is the least stressful way to holiday and even can be relaxing! Read on to find out more…

caravan-holidays-lounge, HendraUnpack and unwind

Everything with babies and small children takes more time, from actually getting out of the house to getting to your destination. When you get to Hendra you can just unpack and unwind. Self-catering has many benefits when you are with a baby and toddler; it is easier to make bottles, warm baby food, and you can give them the food that they normally have at home.  Also, having a living area means that you get to unwind too when the little ones are in bed. The Hendra Market Place is a convenient shop to stock up on all your baby essentials, along with a Morrisons and Lidl down the road – so no frantic searching for a shop to get baby supplies and you don’t have to pack as much!

Eat out and playHendra Playloft

Eating out is really easy to do at Hendra, with a child friendly menu in our Fish and Chip Shop, Terrace Bar and Restaurant and Mario’s Pizzeria. Mario’s and the Fish and Chip shop are right by the play park too, so that you can eat and watch your children play as you eat. There is a section of the play park reserved for younger children too, so they can play in a more peaceful environment away from the older kids. Open early from 5pm, one of the eateries is perfect for eating early to minimise meltdowns. The entertainment is also often open from 5pm, so our youngest guests don’t have to miss out.

The Oasis Fun Pools is also a winner with little ones. There is a warmer babies and toddlers pool along with a slide for under fives, and our friendly crab. Toddlers can go down the green flume on their parent or carers laps.

Hendra’s Land Train is always a hit with babies and toddlers too, running from 9am each morning.
