1. The Royal Cornwall Show, The Royal Cornwall Showground, near Wadebridge 6th – 8th of June
A celebration of rural Cornwall life, the Royal Cornwall Show is sure to entertain all ages. Enjoy mouth-watering local produce; there are food and drink tasters everywhere, so foodies will be in their absolute element.
There are opportunities to get a selection of locally made goods from furniture to fashion, tractors to toys. There are plenty of animals to see including chickens, rabbits, dogs, and farm animals, along with a top flower show and countryside area.
The whole family will love the fun fair, steam fair, live music and street theatre.
2. Go to a Sundowner Session at Lusty Glaze, Newquay, various dates throughout June
We can’t think of a better place than Lusty Glaze to enjoy some live music, with its sheltered horseshoe cove, and golden sand: this is why people come to Cornwall. Several free live acts are playing throughout June. Australian singer-songwriter and multi-platinum award winner, Matt Corby plays an exclusive, intimate gig on Tuesday 18th June. Matt Corby is a ticked event.
Lusty Glaze was voted ‘Beach of the Year’ in Sunday Times in 2017, and it is easy to see why. A privately owned beach with great facilities including bar, restaurant, adventure centre and good toilets.
3. Miracle Theatre, A Perfect World, various dates and venues across Cornwall
This Cornwall based theatre group pops up all over Cornwall each summer, creating an irresistible mixture of live theatre against the backdrop of some of Cornwall’s best scenery. This June they pop up at Porthtowan’s Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Trebah Gardens, and Cardinham Woods, near Bodmin.

4. Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, 14th – 16th of June
Falmouth has a rich maritime history, often being the first safe port of call for deep water sailing ships. The waterside alehouses were filled with shanties, stories and yarns, making it the perfect place for one of the largest free nautical music and song festivals anywhere. This is a truly unique experience with 64 groups from all over the UK, Spain, Holland, Canada and Ireland who will perform their take on sea songs and shanties across various venues in Falmouth.
5. Heart Food Festival, Heartlands near Pool, 22nd to 23rd of June
Heartlands is a free visitor attraction and World Heritage Gateway near the former mining heart of Cornwall, in Pool, which is near Redruth. There’s 19 acres of fun to explore, including a fantastic outside kids’ play area.
This summer they are holding a summer family-fun food festival (£3 for adults, children are free). Feast on great food, buy local produce, explore stalls, and see performers, bands and DJs, and Chef Demos. There are kids and activities and garden games too.
6. Doggy Day Out Summer Festival, Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, 22nd to 23rd of June
Treat your four-legged friend to a day out this June. Expect an action-packed weekend – with have-a-go agility and hoopers, Canine Olympics, Flyball displays and have-a-go with 4×4 Flyball Club and grooming demos from Pampered Pooches, as well as talks and workshops from dog behaviourists, trainers and canine first aid specialists including Andrew Hale and Paws & Praise.
The festival raises funds for several dog charities. There will be food available for humans, as well as dogs. This is a ticketed event, and great for the whole family.

7. Father’s Day Car Show at Flambards, Helston, 16th of June
Treat your Dad to a day out at Flambard’s car show. Learn all about classic American cars – Hot rods; typically classic American cars with large engines modified for speed. Everyone will love looking these sleek-looking machines.
Flambards is a fantastic day out for the whole family, with a mix of thrill rides, toddler rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a Victorian Village and Britain in the Blitz experience and exhibitions. You can get discounted entry from your Hendra Welcome Book which you get on arrival.
8. Newquay Farmers’ Market, Woman’s Institute, 30th of June
When you are somewhere new, we strongly believe you should try the local produce, and Cornwall is well-known as a foodie heaven! From 10am – 3pm, this Farmer’s market offers the best of Cornish produce. Buy some goodies and take them back to the caravan to make a fabulous locally-sourced meal.
9. 100th Eden Session Gig, 23rd of June
Eden’s world-famous Biomes have provided the unique backdrop to their unforgettable summer concerts since Pulp headlined on 5 July 2002, attracting more than half a million concert-goers over the years.
This year Eden celebrates its 100th session with an array of artists including Nile Rogers and CHIC, Doves, Dreadzone, Asian Dub Foundation, Bill Jefferson and Backbeat Soundsystem.
It is sure to be a night to remember.
10. Fistral Beach Clean, Keep Fistral Tidy, 29th of June
Protect what you love – Cornwall! Every month there’s a community beach clean on Fistral, Cornwall’s famous surfing beach. Why not get involved and have a hand in keeping Cornwall clean? Meet some locals, look at the sea and do something good. Afterwards reward yourself with a treat in one of the nearby cafes.
